A transparent PNG badge, before and after JPG export

A conversion study by Image to JPG. We drew a 320 × 192 badge with three flat shapes and transparent corners, then ran it through our converter at its default 90% quality and white background.

The same mountain badge shown with transparent corners on the left and white corners in its JPEG copy on the right
Actual browser conversion. Both files are 320 × 192. The preview reports 1.5 KB for the PNG and 7.1 KB for the JPG.

The white corners are now part of the picture. Place the JPG on a dark slide and those corners stay white. For this small, flat graphic, the PNG also takes less space. Keep it for reuse and export a JPG copy when the destination requires one.

Try the PNG to JPG converter or download the original sample PNG to repeat the comparison.
